Bandwidth represents the amount of traffic you have on your website.
Everybody hopes for huge traffic but again to understand this you have to make a simple calculation. Let's say your website has 20 pages and each page is 0.1 mb totaling a 2Mb website.
This is a typical information website (again, multimedia files are excluded).
Also, let's say you have 10,000 visitors in a month (that would be ... WOW).
Let's say each person will read/download 10 pages out of 20 totaling 1 Mb/person. That will make 10,000 Mb = 10Gb / month your total bandwidth.
Most plans these days start with at leads 100Gb going to 1000Gb and even unlimited. If you have 10,000 visitors/month, believe me, you can afford to upgrade to the best plan.
What I'm trying to say is don't get influenced by the huge amounts offered by webhosts. You'll end up not using them. Is like an all you can eat buffet. You can only eat so much. you won't be able to eat the whole buffet. :). But you'll end up paying the same price.
